Founded by three friends with roots across the diaspora, Taha from Morocco, Kwaku from Ghana, and Justis, an African American son of Newark, BrownMill reflects the global Black experience in everything it creates. That shared vision to Think Bigger turned a grassroots streetwear brand into a nationally recognized platform with a permanent home in the city that built it. Our collection with Urban Outfitters brought BrownMill to a national retail audience. Our appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show put our story in front of millions, and Gucci chose to produce a documentary on our journey, placing BrownMill alongside one of the most respected names in luxury fashion. Our Newark storefront and annual Block Party keep us rooted in the community, connecting directly with the consumers who shape culture.
